ORLANDO, Fla … In an effort to attract buyers Olde Town Brokers recently held its first Open House Extravaganza showcasing 35 residential listings. More than 235 individuals attended the open house event with many of them being legitimate buyers, a positive indication that the real estate market may be improving.
To help draw visitors Olde Town Brokers advertised the event in local publications. Amy Adams, a local resident who viewed many of the listings said, “Olde Town Brokers made our experience effortless. They created a map that directed us from point to point and had great signage and balloons along the route to easily find the locations.” “It was a great experience and we found a couple of homes that are of interest to us,” said Adams of Orlando, Florida.
Factors such as lower median house prices, a large inventory and lower interest rates may help close the deal for many people. “But to attract buyers agents need to be creative and come up with unique ways to showcase their listings,” said Lisa Owens Gould, General Manager of Olde Town Brokers, CondoHQ and CitiSpace Orlando. “The market just isn’t the same as it was a few years ago. Agents aren’t just sitting back taking phone calls anymore,” said Gould.
It looks like the agents at Olde Town Brokers are heading in the right direction. Due to its success, the Open House Extravaganza will now be held monthly on the 4th Sunday. One REALTOR, Judy Meese is excited about the opportunity and stated, “The Open House
Extravaganza was a success for me.” “Four (4) of my listings were showcased and all experienced good traffic. The agents holding them open all have leads to follow up on,” said Meese, a long time veteran in the real estate profession.
REALTOR, Patrick James adds, “We had a great turn out. A sure sign that people are indeed looking and the market is getting a lot more activity.”
